| Complete dentures have always had the disadvantage of poor retention. In most cases, semi precision or precision attachments over implants or natural teeth roots, are elements that provide better retention and reduce this problem in complete overdentures. The following clinical case presentation regards the treatment of a patient that, as a consequence of periodontal disease, had to lose most of her upper teeth and a complete overdenture was indicated to replace them. To improve overdenture retention, semipresición attachments (Preciclix) were used. Also patient´s confidence was gained with this treatment option. |
